PREVENTION
Community Coalitions
First Call is the Prevention Resource Center for Cass, Jackson, Johnson, and Lafayette Counties in Missouri & Kansas. As the regional expert in prevention, First Call provides technical support to coalitions in the four-county region and delivers evidence-based prevention programming in schools in both Kansas and Missouri.
First Call’s Prevention Specialists work in the community to educate and prevent alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use among youth.

The Prevention Department welcomes the opportunity to work with schools, businesses and organizations throughout Greater Kansas City. We offer community presentations, educational programs and recovery panels. We work with each school or agency to meet specific needs.

First Call & Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools
The First Call Prevention Department recently teamed up with the Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools to help serve as a prevention resource for parents who reside in the district.
In the new series of videos, Margaux Guignon, Director of Prevention Services, Michelle Irwin, Community Outreach Specialist, and Scott Schultz, Community Prevention Specialist, offer a variety of topics, including "Alcohol and Young People," "Bullying and Substance Use," and "Marijuana and the Young Mind."
