SUMMARY:Cognitive Behaviors Therapy Strategies
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a 3-hour interactive CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) training designed to\nequip participants with foundational CBT skills. This session will introduce the CBT triangle\n(thoughts\, feelings\, behaviors) as a framework for understanding and addressing mental\nhealth and substance misuse challenges. Participants will learn to identify common\nthought distortions and gain practical tools to support others in reframing negative\nthinking patterns. Ideal for professionals and individuals seeking effective\, evidence based information. \n \nReggie Jackson\, MSW\nReggie Jackson has dedicated over two decades to supporting individuals\, families\, and communities through his work in mental health. He earned a B.S. in History from Kansas State University and a Master’s in Social Welfare from the University of Kansas\, where he also studied abroad at the University of Costa Rica and served on the KU School of Social Welfare Advisory Board. Before founding Satori Counseling Services in 2014\, Reggie held several leadership roles in nonprofit organizations. He has facilitated trainings on mental health\, diversity\, equity\, and inclusion\, as well as healthy masculinity\, and has worked extensively with athletes at high school\, professional\, and world-class levels. From 2015 to 2018\, he served as an Adjunct Professor in the KU MSW program and was named Adjunct Professor of the Year in 2018. Outside of work\, Reggie is a proud father of two\, an outdoor enthusiast\, and a lifelong learner who enjoys spending time with his family.
