9am-4pm (1 hr lunch) Facilitated by Casey Johnson, PSS, MPS 1. Foundations and Principles of Harm Reduction 2. Overdose Prevention and Response 3. Engaging People who use drugs Casey Johnson is a sober Indigenous Harm Reductionist with more than 15 years experience in grassroots Harm Reduction efforts; first as a consumer, then a volunteer, and now a professional. Casey is from the West Coast and after marrying a good ‘ol Midwestern boy, found herself building community here in Kansas City, MO. Casey is a radically soft abolitionist that believes all people who use drugs deserve to live a self-determined life with respect, dignity, love, and justice. When she’s not out in the community, Casey is at home with her husband, their daughter, and three dogs.
