Service Description
8AM-5PM 6 CEUs Facilitated by Megan Keller and LaTanya Dumas Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. LaTanya Dumas CRADC, she is also MHFA and QPR trainer. LaTanya is a Kansas City Naive. She received an Associate Degree in Christian Education. She has provided counseling and education services in Kansas City for over 17 years. She has provided educational training in DBT to Veterans. She has extensive experience working with D.O.C., domestic violence offenders, medical assistance treatment, and individuals seeking recovery from addiction. Megan Keller has a BS in Family Studies from Miami University and an MS in Family Studies from Purdue University. Megan has worked in the substance use disorder field for 23 years and has focused on the impact substance use disorders have on the family. Megan has presented at many conferences and other venues on this topic along with facilitating groups throughout the Kansas City metro area to children, teens and adults on how to cope with a family members’ substance use disorder and how to care for children impacted by this disease.
