Ethics in Prevention: Think Tank
The principles of ethics are models of exemplary professional behavior. These principles of the Prevention Think Tank Code express prevention professionals’ recognition of responsibilities to the public, to service recipients, and to colleagues within and outside of the prevention field. This 6 hour training will explore the 6 principles of ethics; Non-Discrimination, Competence, Integrity, Nature of Services, Confidentiality , and Ethical Obligations for Community and Society.

Scott Schultz, Prevention Team Lead, is a 1987 graduate of the University of Nebraska with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Scott returned to school in 2017 to become a Certified Addiction Counselor. He joined First Call as an intern in 2019 and accepted a full-time position as a Community Prevention Specialist in 2020. Scott has over 30 years of experience coaching youth and is currently a Varsity Head Golf Coach for a Shawnee Mission high school.
