FIRST CALL EXTENDS REMOTE SERVICE
DELIVERY UNTIL JULY 16

In consultation with the First Call Leadership Team and Board of Directors, First Call Alcohol/Drug Prevention & Recovery plans to extend remote service delivery via telehealth and HIPAA-compliant videoconferencing until July 16, 2020. The office at 9091 State Line will remain closed and First Call employees will continue to work from home.

First Call's Crisis Call Line is in operation 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Individuals and families needing help with a substance use issue and/or referral to treatment should continue to call 816-361-5900.

First Call's intention is to stay productive toward our mission to reduce the impact of alcohol, drugs and addiction by providing quality resources to individuals, families and the community. We are striving to meet our social responsibility to protect the health of First Call staff, clients and the greater community.

As a reminder, the CDC recommends everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses:

  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

  • Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

  • Avoid touching your face (especially eyes, nose, and mouth).

  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing.

  • Practice social distancing of at least six feet.

  • Stay home when you are sick.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

We recognize that this is an unprecedented and unique situation and appreciate your flexibility and support. For more information, please contact Susan Whitmore, President & CEO, 816-800-8045.

It is the mission of First Call to reduce the impact of

alcohol, drugs and addiction by providing quality

resources to individuals, families

and the community.
